Army Navy Sisig Baboy Soft Taco
Army Navy Sisig Baboy Soft Taco

I posted here before my favorite Army Navy's all-day breakfast meal, the bangus tinapa with egg combo; which, almost always, is my order at Army Navy. Recently however, I tried their newest offering: sisig baboy. Army Navy's Sisig Baboy comes in three styles, naked burrito, PI (Philippine Island) burrito and the soft taco. But it's the soft taco that I've tried since I think it is the lightest of the three and I need to limit my meat and salt intake because of my uric acid and cholesterol issues.

Anyway, here's my take on this sisig baboy of Army Navy. It's savory! It's tasty and flavorful and I love that it has cilantro which I like! And I would have love it more if not for my uric acid and cholesterol issues. Here's a BUT though. It's too salty, way too salty for my taste. I squeezed the wedge of lime that comes with it and added lots of salsa but it's still too salty for me. I tried this sisig baboy with two friends; one agreed with me, the other one said it has just the right salt. Oh well, it's probably because of my recent diet that consists minimal to no salt at all. Try it and taste for yourself. And let me know your take in the comment box below. 'Til my next food trip...^_^
