Milk Tea Craze | Dakasi: Rich and Creamy Creme Hokkaido

Dakasi Creme Hokkaido

For the past two (2) weeks, SM City North EDSA held this milk tea party event that featured various milk tea shops in the Metro. One of these shops is Dakasi, another milk tea shop originating from Taiwan (see my Tiger Sugar review, also a milk tea from Taiwan).

Dakasi offers several tea-based drinks and refreshments but the Hokkaido series were the ones  featured in the SM milk tea party. Hokkaido series features two flavors -- hokkaido milk pearl and creme hokkaido. Both refreshments are made of brown sugar syrup, fresh milk and salted cream cheese plus oreo cookies and pearls for the creme hokkaido while it's just pearls for hokkaido milk pearl. For this trip, I ordered creme hokkaido.

So what's my take, you would ask? Well, it's the rich blend of cookies, cream cheese and fresh milk that overwhelms my taste buds. Hokkaido creme is actually super rich and creamy milk refreshment that it made me full after sipping just half of it; it's served on a 500ml cup, if my guesstimate is correct.  I haven't had anything that day except 2 small packs of Regent potato crackers... yeah, only those crackers for the whole day; yet, I still struggled to finish the whole cup of creme hokkaido. I really am super duper full after drinking it.

Creme hokkaido costs 150 Php, pricey when compared with other milk teas, but it's worth it; considering the size and taste and value for money. If you want to save but still want milk tea, go for creme hokkaido for lunch or dinner; it will make you super full, you won't be craving for a rice meal. Try it. 😜
