spicy buttered prawns - another version |
Seafood again?! Oh yeah, because I super love sea foods haha! Anyway, because I love sea foods very much and its been weeks since the last time I prepared buttered prawns, I cooked it again last weekend. A bit different from the spicy prawns in butter and garlic recipe I posted here before.
The reason? As usual, I ran out of the ingredients I usually use for my buttered prawns so I make do with what's available. It turned out good that's why I'm posting it here. Here's the recipe:
Ingredients:
500 grams of prawns
100 grams butter
1 cup of orange juice
2 tbsp lemon juice (to counter the sweet taste of orange juice)
2 tbsp honey mustard (I used this to thicken the sauce)
2 tbsp garlic, minced (am using McCormick's minced garlic but you may use fresh garlic, of course)
cayenne pepper (I've ran out of chili sauce)
salt to taste
How to cook:
- Marinade the prawns in the mixture of lemon and orange juice for about 10 minutes.
- In a pan, melt the butter and sauté the garlic.
- Add the prawns as well as the liquid marinade.
- Add the honey mustard and sprinkle with chili and salt to taste.
- Let it simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
