Food Trips | Food Trip (After a Tiring Road Trip) at Luk Yuen

Luk Yuen Noodle House - Greenhills
Last Monday, instead of voting (I usually don't vote during barangay elections because I have no idea on the candidates), my friend and I went on another road trip. This time, in the province of Rizal. We were supposed to look for King Bee in Antipolo (our last stop) but I had a poor signal (3g signal) back then, we couldn't locate the restaurant. Instead of looking around and asking people, we decided to head back to the Metro and visit one of our favorite restaurants, Luk Yuen. Luk Yuen is a Chinese restaurant located in Greenhills in San Juan.

Halo-halo Congee - 180 PhP
Actually, it is congee (photo above) that we always ordered whenever we're here at Luk Yuen. For me, their congee is the best congee I've tasted, so far. But because we were tired after a day-long road trip, we decided to order other dishes, aside from congee. We ordered fried rice with salted fish, seafood soup with beancurd, sizzling beef and dumplings in hot chili; iced tea for our drinks.

It was congee that we were served first, other dishes were served 10 or 15 minutes later. Since congee is best eaten while still hot, we ate it immediately, after seasoning it with calamansi, soy sauce and chili sauce. As usual, this halo-halo congee is a winner. It still tasted the same, delicious and flavorful; with fresh egg and generous serving of beef strips, slices of liver and stomach lining and meat balls, with spring onions and crispy crackers on top...yum!!!! My friend and I shared with only one order of halo-halo congee. And I regretted it, I should have ordered one for myself, too. Bitin!! ;)
Dumplings in Hot Chili - 190 PhP
I'm not very satisfied with these dumplings, it's kinda bland, even when dipped/soaked on its sauce.

Seafood Soup with Beancurd - 105 PhP
This soup is good. I love that even after minutes of its serving, it's still hot. I also love the bits and pieces of its ingredients that I can chew. But it's kinda expensive, 105 PhP for just a cup of it.

Sizzling Beef - 290 PhP
Tender and flavorful, my words for this sizzling beef. :)

Fried Rice with Salted Fish - 210 PhP
My friend loved this fried rice. Aside from being a salted fried rice variety (his favorite), it is not moist so he liked it very much.

Iced Tea - 60 PhP (each)
That's it for our food trip at Luk Yuen. 'Til my next food trip...
